Jon Painter graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, in May 2024. He passed the bar exam, and is currently gainfully employed and representing clients in the State of Florida. His practice is currently focused on environmental litigation.

During law school, Jonathan served as Admiral of the Maritime Law Society, was an observer at the 28th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, and competed in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. He received a CALI Award for International Environmental Law and a Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Award for UN Climate Negotiations. Jonathan also completed internships at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the State Attorney's Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
